Windows and Doorways
So, in the last 5 days BoxWithAHat members have been spotted at an Owen concert, Egg'lectic Cafe, Sunday morning church AND Sunday night worship, the O'Hare Oasis (*ahem*) and Jonathan's Birthday B-B-Q (which DID go until 4 a.m., as promised--yes, that's a 12 hour party), as well as hiding behind the office building at the corner of Hawthorne and Main. Photographic evidence exists of at least one of these occasions. Luckily, not the last one.
This is Owen, or Mike Kinsella, if you like. He mostly played songs off the new album, which was cool because they're good songs (yay). One of them is called "Windows and Doorways," which I thought of when I stumbled across this picture from earlier in the summer:
This is the window and doorway in the back of our abode. At night, obviously. Doesn't everyone love camera phones? Yeah, mine sucks. Sorry. But the show was fun. Some members left after a couple songs of Joan of Arc (though Mike's drumming was fun). Some stayed. That's the story.
Jonathan's B-B-Q on Saturday was also a good time. A little bit of a slow start, but it blossomed like a teenage girl into a thing of beauty. The only thing missing from our party was a keg and a swimming pool, but we felt blessed with what we have. Many thanks to all who brought food, helped cook, ran out for things we had run short on (Mrs. Greener!), or just came to celebrate. Who could guess being 23 could be this FUN?!?
Speaking of 23, how come almost everyone I know is single? Completely, utterly single?!? Come on people, most of the people I know that are married, were already married by this point in their lives. Let's get to work here. Summer may be winding down, but Autumn is when people need someone to snuggle with, and that someone could very well be you. So get out there and be a teddy bear.

"The only thing missing was a keg and a swimming pool."
That hurts. I tried to make an appearance via Jonathan's phone, but there were no takers.
And does being "huggy bear" count toward being a teddy bear? I hope so, otherwise I don't think I can follow the instructions at the end.
